How can a serious Hi-Fi enthusiast use a Record player. Any plonker can tell that CDs sound far better imho.. Only old
format i use is on a Technics Cassette deck. I use that for all my Live recording that are not available on CD. CD for everything else on a 30 year old CD player. FLAC files on the laptop for when im working on line..

I got a record spinner and quite a few records. Not seen it in a few years though. Maybe i get the bugger out again and see how bad it really is.

I like that arm slide thingy on the SME. Avid (i think ?) made one for the Naim Aro .

SME have always use a sliding base instead of Head shell mounting slots..
